Vacancy

Vacancy: Entry-Level NDT Inspector

Location: Randstad (Headquarters: Dordrecht)
Employment: Part-time or full-time
Salary: €2,800 – €3,500 | Commuting allowance | Training courses in the Netherlands and abroad

Are you technically skilled and eager to make a real difference in safety and quality?
Do you enjoy variety in your work, visiting unique locations, and being trained as an expert in a growing field?
Then this is your opportunity!

We are looking for an NDT Inspector – or someone who aspires to become one.

What will you do?

As an NDT Inspector, you will use advanced inspection techniques to assess the quality of technical installations without causing damage. You’ll inspect welds, pipelines, tanks, and pressure vessels for defects, wear, or abnormalities — work that directly contributes to the safety of people and processes.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Inspect without damage – Use advanced techniques such as Phased Array, ToFD, and TFM to detect hidden defects without harming the object.

  • Work on impressive installations – Visit unique industrial sites and perform inspections on critical components such as pipelines, vessels, and high-pressure systems.

  • Play a vital role in safety and quality – Your work helps prevent incidents and ensures installations operate safely and reliably.

  • Grow continuously – Work with cutting-edge technologies, earn certifications (ISO 9712), and develop toward roles such as Quality Manager or Project Leader within a professional team.

  • Collaborate with top experts – Be part of a close-knit team of specialists and work closely with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.

  • Enjoy variety – No two days are alike: one day you’ll be at a refinery, the next at a power plant or a high-tech factory.

Your learning path and career progression

Whether you already have experience in NDT or are just getting started, we have a personalized training plan for you.
You’ll follow an intensive in-house training program combined with a practical internship — possibly abroad (for example, in Greece or England — how cool is that!).
This way, you’ll learn the trade inside out and earn internationally recognized certifications (ISO 9712).

What do we expect from you?

  • A Level 4 MBO (intermediate vocational) or HBO (higher professional) diploma in a technical field (mechanical engineering, electromechanics, shipbuilding, etc.)

  • You are punctual, independent, quality-oriented, and communicative.

  • Experience with welding, metallurgy, or NDT is a plus.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

  • A Category B driver’s license and willingness to work at various locations (including occasional evenings or weekends).

What do we offer you?

  • A starting salary of €2,800 – €3,500 gross per month (full-time basis).

  • 32–40-hour workweek and the possibility to work abroad.

  • 25 vacation days, 12 additional days, and 8% holiday allowance.

  • Overtime surcharges of up to 85%.

  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer.

  • Excellent secondary benefits, including a pension plan and commuting reimbursement.

  • Fully paid training and certifications.

  • Laptop, phone, and transportation provided.

  • Excellent overtime compensation.

  • A pleasant, informal atmosphere within a close-knit and humorous team.

  • A fast-growing company with great opportunities for personal development — for example, towards a Senior Inspector position.

  • A culture where teamwork, fun, and quality is key,.
